I am unable to delete a folder on the desktop of all users profile permanently. You can delete it, however it returns each time I start up or re-boot. To be more specific: I am unable to delete the "Profiles" subdirectory and the other subdirectories within. It keeps telling me "<subdirectory> is a Use My Computer or Windows Explorer to remove the appropriate Windows\Profiles\<user name> folders. Shortcuts corrupted
I actually ended up using settings from the current user profile. Since I was writing a msbuild add-in, accessing the registry was really easy but the I then renamed the VS 2008 folder and changed the environment paths for my command prompt to those of a machince that doesn't have VS 2008 (and evc still works)
